100 Day Painting Challenge

I am currently working on a very exciting new project. I have committed to producing one painting a day for the next 100 days and posting them each day on my website, Instagram and Facebook. This process is very different than painting on a large canvas where I often get bogged down and lose my spontaneity. The works are small (9 x 10 inches) on heavyweight paper combining mixed materials of paint, crayon and inks. I find working this way very freeing. I bring to the work my mood for that day which is expressed in color, line, shapes and texture. It is a snapshot of my feelings in the moment. I am forced to stay in the present and out of my head where thinking too much makes the work too tight and spoils the fun. Follow along on this journey of discovery with me.  Who knows where we will end up?
