No Expectations
Once I went public that I would be posting every day for the 100 day series there was no turning back. The most fun about Instagram is the ability to crop and show as much or as little of a work that you want to. I would move the piece around in the square and enlarge and reduce. So often I would zero in on a part of a painting that I liked better than the whole composition. As I got closer to the hundredth day I stared making much larger pieces with the intention of actually physically cropping them down to the 10 x 10 inches to match the rest of the series. No longer concerning myself with the painting as a finished entity took me to a whole new level of letting go. Probably the biggest take away from doing this project was allowing the surprises, another life lesson for me. You just never know what's going to happen!
